Ko Samet beach house or hotel

Anyone have any recommendations for nice places on Ko Samet.  Does not need to be fancy but on the beach would be nice.

I like Koh Samet and like to spend 2 nights a trip with my favorite Teelak. Here are some places I like to stay. http://www.samedvilla.com/ Samed Ville is right on the beach and is very nice. It is not right in the main town but only a 15 min walk away. There is a small store close by.

 

http://kohsamed.net/kohkaewvillage.html Is my other place. It is very basic but only 1000 Baht. Has free wifi but besides that just a basic room. Beds are hard so be aware of that. It is not right on the beach but a 2 min walk away. It is just off the main street so convenient to go to restaurants and 7/11.

 

Also make sure to take in the fire show. They do it at several beach restaurants at night but one was allot better than the others but can not remember the name of the restaurant but it started with a P.

I can also recommend samed villa, There are a few bars/restaurants about 5 mins walk on the next beach

Also Silver Sands resort right next to Samed Villa is popular. But beware it does get lively from around 11 - 2:00 am with partiers at the club there so if you are looking for somewhere quiet not so good.

Interested this as well and samedvilla looks nice. last time i was there i booked from agency in pattaya. is that the way to go or do you get ur own taxi and use the boat that comes and goes? was it 50 bath?

If i go somewhere quiet would be good and bit more close to the shops.

I usually book my own taxi and arrange for the same one to pick me up for the return ([email protected])then take the ferry. If you stay at Samedvilla they do have a speed boat and taxi service but of course that costs extra.

My friend told me last time he went there there was boat asking like 500 bath or was it even more cant remember for the ferry and he told no way then someone told him another ferry was going and it was like 50 bath.

rip off ferry and normal ferry i quess? 

i have no idea for the prices cos i used package deal from agency. how mutch taxi would be?
