Tropical Bert's - Soi 6/1

Last month I stayed at Tropical Bert's at corner of Soi 6/1 and 2nd Rd for almost two weeks. It is a great place to stay and I highly recommend. Big nice rooms, great location. good staff and service, good and reasonably price Western and Thai food. I paid 700 Bht in low season.

 

Only inconvenience was that I could not get wireless reception in my room and had to take my laptop down to the bar/restaurant.

 

Kudos to Bert, Pu and all the staff for running a great establishment.

My favorite place to stay. They don't have safes in the rooms though, you get a safe downstairs behind the bar and there's nobody there late at night....

Yes although i have never stayed there, the food and drink are pretty good.

i stayed at Berts last month (aug) for a week nice big room very comfortable rooms but watch out for the ants dont leave any food out in the room they will get to it. the bathroom sucked as the drainage was clogged up and its and all in one set up shower pooper right next to each other had to leave the shit paper outside the bathroom soit did not get wet all the time toilet seat always wet and had ants on my tooth brush a couple times definitely an ant problem at tropical berts i wonder what the kitchen looks like??? staff downstairs very nice and the wifi works outside thats where i sat each morning at the table outside and wifi'd away...other than the ants and the bathroom good place to stay...

ps...beware of the katoys on the backside of Soi Six that's the street berts is on very aggressive at night walking home and even more of a pain when walking to the beach with a hangover in the morning...beware...
