gsm/cdma?

hi guys,

does anyone on the board know which is the technology being used in los?is it the gsm or cdma?does anokia 1600 with gsm 900/1800 frequency band work there?

i love pattaya

GSM is dominant in Thailand. Frequencies are GSM 900/1800/1900/3G. The Nokia 1600 is 900/1900 except for US models which are 850/1900. Here's a rundown of the different GSM prepaid services in Thailand

 

I use a cheap quad band Motorola V188 phone I picked up on Ebay for $25. Just make sure it's unlocked.

 

I've had good luck with AIS 12 Call. Pick up a SIM at the airport kiosk or at most 7-11 stores.
