taxis from airport

got to airport last night at 21.30 ,eitihad asked me if i wanted to give my seat up as overbooked on flights,got new flight for tuesday great and a free flight back to los. anyways goes outside ends up i n a taxi two men well pissed .alarm bells anyways on way out cops see me wait till we set off. then pull us over get a 2000 baht off two men then we set off go wrong way shitting myself ,ask for 4000 baht from me in either dollars or pounds ,only had 800 baht fair should have been 200 anyways i say got nothing they loose it so say got money at hotel mwith my wife who i had to leave as we are waiting for a visa, they are going off it now but i say no money at hotel,anyway they get me to hotel get them money and go ,wen i tell my wife she goes berserk but i say they were dodgy could have been worse so everyone be carefull only get in registered taxis i than god they never did me in happens to some people
