Does it still play in your camera ?

This can happen. If there are photos you really want let me know...

Sounds to me like you inserted the card into apc and the pc did not like how it was formatted in the camera. Very likely you where given the optiin to do nothing or reformat it. I hope you did not accidentally format it

Not a photographic pro' but I have had SD card issues in the past.  Luckily I tend to copy any pic's I take onto my laptop on a daily basis.  However.....

Sounds like your SD card has a problem, could be a corrupted card or (less likely) a virus.  These things happen and a card can go cactus unexpectedly at any time.

The only thing you can do as far as I'm aware is to use a data-recovery program to access the files that are still stored on the SD card.  Again, not a pro' so I can only suggest checking the internet for recommendations and downloading some software.

The one thing that is clear is that you need to recover your pic's before you try to fix the card.

Personally, I'd try recovery software and then junk the SD card.  They're not that expensive to replace these days.

Hope that was of some help.

Cheers

Don't know how far out in the wilds you are?

If possible, just take it to a Camera Store and get a clever Thai to save your pics for you. If you take your camera & laptop, hopefully, they'll stick them on the laptop for you.

If you're somewhere near Udon, there's a couple of places in Central Plaza I think.
