I truly hope this son'ofa B steps into that small square and heads it toe to toe with a TRUE fucking boxing legend and see who settles the score, as for me ,even if Paquioa looses he is still the winner.

I hope it does happen. Floyds legacy needs it and he knows it. I think Floyd is to good defensively and that's why he will beat Manny, but it will be a great fight and a massive event.

To be truthful its not a good sign for the sport, for 1 sad mother to milk it dry, thats why manny is THE true sportsman,he has never ducked an a chalenge,but thanks for your 2 cents worth .

This fight should have happened a few years ago when both fighters were at the top of their careers.

Manny does his fair share of milking fighting in Macau against nobody's to get the casino money.

 

Floyd has fought everyone highly ranked in his respective division for years. He isn't that exciting as a fighter anymore because he's to worried about losing his record. But what he's achieved so far is legendary with a few years left the only thing missing is Manny. He knows that.

 

Manny is a much more exciting fighter but the reason Floyd will always draw more ratings thus can demand more money is because of the massive intrigue. People wanna see him get beat and wonder if he ever will. Floyd knows this so in his fights he tries to avoid getting hit with his awesome defensive skills, this way he can keep earning 30-40 million $ per fight without breaking a sweat and maybe for a few more years yet.

Yes i get your drift BUT the people that pay the wages are true fight fans and i feel they are being leeched upon wich is not good for the sport,time to give a little back.

Manny has fought  the guys that floyd has and disposed of them in a brutal fashion give or take the odd survivor the only no no was his last bout in Macau ,lets face it fans love to see a toe to toe tear up and floyd just cant provide the card, hence my distaste as to how the guy has become so rich and famous.

Sure, this would have been better 5 years ago. But 'past their prime' or not, these guys are still the two best welterweights in boxing and at or near the top of most P4P lists as well. If it does happen now, it will remind me a little bit of Hagler-Leonard in the sense of two fighters who finally got around to fighting each other late in their careers, Leonard coming out of one of his so-called 'retirements' for the fight. While I'd still like to see Mayweather-Pacquiao, I won't be all that bothered if it doesn't happen. A little tired of the cherry-picking, catch-weight fighting divas at this point and that applies to both of them. Gotta admire the heart of a kid like Canelo who really will fight anyone and I'm happy watching guys like Gennady Golovkin and Roman Gonzalez, too.

I think its just the way floyd handles his fame and cash that seems to cloak over the fight game and its credible TRUE sportsmen, manny took on Algiery at a huge age/height/reach disadvantage and worked the kid over, and yes some great bouts looming!

I was an avid Boxing fan , until the money men got too greedy and the standards dropped ,  real match up's never came about for fear of losing , and the gravy train crashing . Paying people (hand offs ) to avoid certain fights are a farce .

 

Mayweather is the epitomy of all that is wrong in today's fight game .    

 

Sure , it's only right that boxers should be well paid for the job they pursue , and the very real risks involved , and money has to be spent to enhance and promote fights , 

 

Boxer's i liked , who never ducked a fight were Marvin Hagler and Kostya Tszyhu  in particular plus many others .
