Hotel Reservation

I book so that I'm not wasting time wandering around for a suitable hotel. It's better to do your research prior to arrival and find a place that meets your comfort and price requirements. At the very least, book for a couple of days and then look around for better hotels once you're in town.

I stayed at the Dynasty Inn last time. Do you recommned any other hotel. I am trying to save a little money because I will be there for two weeks. The location was great.

Try the Lek hotel just around the corner on Second Road. 850 Baht per night.

Is there any information on the Lek hotel? Does it have a room safe? Quiet? Breakfast?

I stayed at the Lek this past May and would recommend it. All rooms have safes. The 850 rooms have safes that use a key rather than a keypad. These rooms are also older (hence less expensive), but I didn't have any complaints. Water pressure was great, as was housekeeping. Breakfast is a fantastic buffet that's served until 1pm and only 110 baht. The dinner buffet is even better. The Lek is an older hotel, but the location and price is great. And yes, it was quiet for being on 2nd road.

i always do it before, as then you know you've got somewhere to stay, and not arriving then finding out every hotel is fully booked.

I always make reservations before I leave and generally as soon as I have the plane ticket.

The last thing I want to do is to shop hotel when I arrive, when it is much more important to get to Soi 6 or Walking Street.

The internet site for the Lek hotel says only smoking rooms. Does that mean there are no non smoking rooms?

We stayed there in April and I would say this statement is correct. Good hotel for the price and location.

First thing you do is take the filter out of the aircon and wash it. Depending on how bad give the inside a bit of a wipe out and check the filter in a couple of days as it will pick up any thing that you disturber in there.
