Fireworks

Last year on NYE I took some shots of the fireworks from the Pattaya Beer Garden. They came out ok but I was just using the railing to steady my camera. This year I brought my tripod and I'd like to find a better spot - maybe somewhere a bit farther out to get a better perscpective. I have a 24-80 and a 150mm to play with.

 

Any suggestions? Is the far end of the pier worth a possible spot or is it insanely crowded?
