Hi,

 

I have 2 Segway i2's for rent or sell. They are in Jomtien but I can deliver them anywhere you want. Just PM me if you are interested. I will show you how to use, charge, and drive so you don't go clueless

 

Perfect for anyone that has a bit of difficult to walk or just want to zip around faster than anyone else. Also, it's pure fun alone or with a (g) friend

 

The models I have is 2 Black i2's. Last about 35-40km (depending your size and driving style). Charge is about 6-8 hours.

 

New price about 400K.

Why are you selling them?

 

How do they travel over rough terrain eg. your average footpath in downtown Pattaya?

 

Do they have a horn or a bell to alert others of ones approach?

 

Does one need any safety accessories to operate them..helmet, goggles, gloves, boots.kneepads etc?

 

Can they be driven on the road?

 

Do you offer a discount if both are purchased together?

 

Will you arrange customs documentso for deliveries to Australia?

The best is to try one first - It could be a hit or miss or something that works really well.

 

Regarding the protection, I advice to treat it as a bicycle - but I would say it's safer because you have a more natural stance and accidents will be as far as to fall from a standing position. But yes... maybe the most dangerous thing in traffic in Thailand is other vehicles.

 

They drive where a scooter can drive and more. So if you can scoot it you can Segway it for sure. But try it and you will find out. I give you a free lesson of course!

I agree, the prices are ridic.... but people buy new cars (I don't have a car as I think it's ridiculous to drive around in one in Thailand) so I buy new Segways instead

How do you lock them? Not to be used in city if they can't be locked? Easter to lift and carry away if someone wanted to steal them I suspect.

Are they road legal?

Do you get stopped by BIB?

Need to wear a crash helmet?

For 2k a day i'd want someone running around behind me who'd look after it and give it a clean everytime i stopped....preferably female. ;)

A Segway is under ALL circumstances a luxurious mode of transport. Slower than most. Takes some time to learn. Some even say it looks a bit funny too. Yet, NO ONE would argue if I wanted 10.000B/day to rent out a Ducati 1199 Panigale or 5 times more to rent out a Lamborghini, and I'm dead sure I'm faster around central Patts in most times of the day than both.

 

If you want to rent 1 day for fun, then yes I want 2k. Segways takes 2-4 weeks to get here. Parts even longer. Most everything is specialized and proprietary spares. And it's definitely not for everyone.

 

Have passed police 100's of times. I guess it's one of few vehicles ever permitted into ws after 22.00 (Yes, police at entry was asked but said it was ok). Every Segway is equipped with encrypted start key with practically built in immobilizer. Stealing it would thus be futile. And I have never had any problems more than that people actually posing ON the Segway which after some time can be annoying.

Sorry i'm not here to bash your business plan, it just seems very pricey for what it provides, but that's just my 2p....i might be a bit more frugal than others on here.

I expect people to have questions and being critical is for every sense a good thing. The monthly rent is although a mesely 500B/day, which for a price comparison is cheaper than a honda click (based on new cost proportion). But a Honda click won't make girls in Soi 6 shout "I want to f**k u!" or "Give me your phone number so I can come and screw you!" while you riding. This actually happened to me more than once.... which can b both good and bad depending on your mood...

I know and recognize this feeling of thinking other guys are dicks or cunts for no apparent reason. For me it grew from a sort of inadequate jealousy or insufficient self esteem. But I'm not gonna start a dick measuring fight with someone for that reason because I was 14 at the time. With that said, please start ur own thread about your bitterness.

If I were there I would not mind trying one for 2k. Just see what it is like. Seems a cheap option for someone who actually thought they might buy one. It would be cool to have it equipped with a gopro. I don;t think 2k is unreasonable for a days rental

The rent price is very good you can pay 500b for 15 minutes in some parts of the world

As the OP stated, this is a luxury item and therefore subject to a relatively high price.  As a comparison, you might check out the Segway tours available in Bangkok.  6000 baht for a few hours, if I remember correctly.  Segways are really really fun but it is an individual decision as to whether they are appropriate for use in Pattaya.
