hi there we are first timers in pattaya & would like some info on night markets were my wife can shop & i can get a cold beer!! or some good thai food ,that way we will both be happy !! also any info on best shopping malls. thank everyone

There are a few!

 

Shopping malls:

 

Big C second road towards the south end

 

Mike shopping malls 2nd road bottom of soi diana

 

Actually there are a few depends where you are staying, both of the above afford very easy access to nearby bars :) The Big C is right next to a couple of soapy massage ones too :)

 

Night market

 

head up the new plaza for a few stalls at the top

 

to be honest I never even look at night markets as I am too busy mongering or getting whipped by the GF for misbehavour LOL.

 

The stalls along beach road are also open late as is the Made in Thailand stalls near to mike shopping mall. There is also a few stalls at the very south end of second road. Get some good copy football tops there :)

 

They are every where mate :)

You're limited in Pattaya. There is a market on Soi Buakow, and another up Naklua. For shoppin malls, Mikes Shopping or Royal Garden and Big C Festival center. The first two are on Beach Rd, Big C is on Second Rd.

 

If you're going to spend any time in BKK, there is much better shopping there. For markets, there is the Suan Lum Night Market next to Lumphini Park, and Chatuchak Weekend Market next to Mo Chit BTS station. For malls, there are almost too many. Siam Paragon is the biggest and best and has all the high end luxury brands. MBK is good for deals all around, Panthip Plaza for tech gear. There is also Gaysorn, Emporium and the new World Center along with Discovery Center next to Siam Paragon.

Yeah, if you haven't been, definitely go at least once. Every luxury brand in the world can be bought there. There are usually a couple Lamborghinis on display on the ground floor, and there is also a Ferrari dealership in the mall.

Thats the same one as New Plaza, all the same. I have seen the stalls still open around 11pm but some have closed. Depends how busy it is I suppose.

 

I hate walking past there with the GF when i'm on the batter! Wastes good beer time!

The markets in Naklua are cheaper, and only a short baht bus ride away. There's one on the Pattaya-Naklua road near Soi 15, then there's the one near the post office on the road between Naklua and Sukumwit Rd, then there's the one on Sukumwit Rd on Sunday nights just a bit north of Pattaya Nua, which is the one I like because some of the proceeds go to support charity work for the local monks.
