If you're in Pattaya and want to get up close to sharks go to Underwater World (I think that's the name) on the main Suk highway. You can get in the water there with scuba gear and stroke the three metre nurse shark. Ok it's not exactly dangerous but it looks huge. There's a lepoard shark and a whole load of rays including marble rays which are huge. You can feed the eagle rays. You can get a video made of yourself.

The most dangerous things in Pattaya Bay is those jet skis and if you're diving sea urchins which hurt like hell when you land on them. I've heard of sightings of nurse sharks, bamboo sharks and turtles but I'm yet to be convinced.
