Hotel/resort near River Kwai Bridge - recommndations

I;m taking the GF and her two kids to Kanchanaburi  first week in December for a weekend and want to stay on or near the River Kwai close to the bridge . Went last year with a Thai mate  who arranged nice rooms for 1500 baht per night but  I can't remember name of hotel  . I would appreciate suggestions for good accommodation preferably with  a swimming pool ..

You ar back by ther time you read this but Felix Resort is quite decent - some parts a bit woern b ut good pool area and bood restaurant, large area to walk about, few farangs, some aussies and NZ for the War memorial visit, I liked it there.
