Small, only a sign in Thai and closed very early.

Didn’t see Thai birds there.

They have added a scrolling text now in English and in Thai.

I saw some Thai guys playing pool.

Closed: Check In Beer Bar, Pirates.

Thanks for the info. Will update the map.

Drove by a new bar called the Bat Cave at the top of Soi Khao Talo last night. No time to stop, but my impression from the outside is it needs more lighting to entice people to pay of visit. The dark side is called that for good reason, and a bar with a dark exterior with subdued lighting just doesn't look very inviting, especially at night. With no ladies sitting outside I was left wondering what horrors await those that would venture in.

Yesterday afternoon I had a look at The Bat Cave.

It is a double-unit shophouse with only a small terrace in front of the left unit.

Inside it is rather dark and surprisingly spacious.

In the middle is a rectangular bar counter with bar stools around.

There are also bar stools along the walls and some sofas behind the bar counter.

I was their only customer.

The cashier, who had come from Thirsty Beaver, was a 21-year-old little spinner, but not available.

I was told the bar was Australian owned and there were five working girls.

I saw only one 28-year-old girl who had just arrived, had never worked bar, had no children, spoke virtually no English, was very shy and remained safely behind the bar counter.

No ST rooms.

Bottled Heineken was 80 baht.

Thanks for the recon. Doesn't sound like a place worth a visit. Wonder if they'll last longer than their neighbor, the ill fated Double Trouble bar. Never saw any customers in that bar, probably because I only ever saw one lady working the bar on my infrequent drive by's.

The Bat Cave is very nicely laid out and inside it’s as big as Bird Cage and their neighbours together, but it’s empty.

There’s no pool table, which is fine by me.

I think the owner has invested a lot of money, but I doubt if there will be any return on that investment.

Nice list, I see you've done your "homework"...555

Le Rouge also has one or two sofas downstairs with curtains.

Blue Sea Angles Bar has closed.
I think the pockets of the American negro chocolate man were not deep enough.

Blue Sea Angles Bar has closed.

I think the pockets of the American negro chocolate man were not deep enough.

I did a quick glance early afternoon yesterday and noticed a sign board out front with 6 - 11 and some Thai script. Could it be a notice they're closed from Sept 6 to 11?

Blue Sea Angles Bar is still closed.
I think the name is too difficult for punters to remember.

I heard it will reopen soon but the owner got a 6 year red card out of Thailand.

As much as I love all things Australian, I got to get me action of the asian persuasian.

Some days ago I went back to The Bat Cave around 10 p.m. and I was the only customer once again.
I saw a skinny girl with an ugly face and ugly teeth in a red dress and some old fatties in black dresses.
I was told that the (Australian) owner, who is never there, wants to hire 16 to 18 girls.
They are paid 6,000 baht per month plus 50 baht per lady drink and 100 baht per barfine.
Some of then start at 4 p.m. and some at 6 p.m., a tad late for the Dark Side.
Barfine is 300 baht ST, no rooms available because of “police”.
Lady drinks are 140 baht, which is even more expensive than at Sweethearts gogo on Walking Street (130 baht).
Heineken 90 baht, other beers 55 baht.

At Le Rouge the first drink for holders of a V.I.P. Member card is free.
Whereas their predecessor Saxo Bar Club offered those cards for free, Le Rouge charges 1,000 baht for them.
Note that Le Rouge is for sale (for two million baht) and that the cards will probably soon lose their validity.
At my latest visit there, apart from the usual fuglies, there was also a “farm fresh” 25-year-old girl with one baby.
She was a bit chubby, had a pretty face, firm boobs, hard buttocks and at first sight no stretch marks.
Pity she did not like anal.
Heineken 90 baht, lady drinks 110 baht, barfine in the alcoves 300 baht, in the upstairs rooms 400 baht.

I wonder how Stars Bar can survive.
Some days ago I went there around 8.30 p.m. and I was completely ignored by the three girls who remained sitting outside.
I guess they did not like me, their only customer.
The (old) cashier told me they open at 2 p.m., but at 4 or 5 p.m. it is always completely dead there.
The only other “customer” I have ever seen there is the previous English owner.
Perhaps he is a sponsor now.
My Heineken, that I did not even finish, was 70 baht.

I got my Le Rouge VIP member card free after a ST.

I was there on opening night a month ago and it was filled with bikers and I haven't been back since.  My guess is they'll end up like the Hell's Angeles bar on Kao Noi, empty 99% of the time.

Good on you.

The owner’s wife told me it was 1,000 baht at Le Rouge when I showed my old Saxo Bar Club card.

I have done several STs at Le Rouge and never received that card for free.

Anyway, the break-even point is at 11.11 visits (if you drink Heineken) and moreover the bar is for sale.
