Jason wouldn't she be looked after by the NHS in case of an emergency ?

No I don't think so I will have to pay the cost, she is not entitled to any free NHS services whilst on a tourist visa

When I have taken my GF to Australia I have got her an Australian policy. You should be able to get something similar in the UK.

I just read up on it a bit, it says only if she normally resides in the UK will she be entitled to free NHS care.

Yea but this is her first visit so she will not be entitled to it, so I need to get cover or I could end up with a very nasty bill if something happens to her :P

Just found this place and the insurance is cheap, always best to cover just in case something goes wrong !

She WILL NOT get free NHS treatment. Even Europeans do not get that.

When I was working in Amsterdam I had to get a European NHS card but I would still have to pay. So there is no chance it will be free even if you were married.

An interesting question and one I have thought about too!

Wha's like us?
