Looking to Rent Harleys

Does anyone know where you can rent a REAL Harley in Pattya?!?!

Last time i was there i was able to rent a honda shadow which was fun but was lacking the muscle and power us wild americans Desire...

 

Looking for a shop or vender who rents them out. not so much someones private bikes, dont want to deal with drama incase something happened on those streets.

 

There are 4 of us, each with riding experince.. Looking for some dynos, soft-tails, super-glides, sportsters...ect not so much the kings or fatboys, not with those local drivers...

We expect to pay more then the honda shadow rentals but wont bother with payin an arm and a leg just for the name...

Your gonna pay about 3k - 3500 a day if not more, if you are still interested i'll put you in contact with a friend who rents them.

heh.. As they say HD... not so much Harley Davidson... but Hundred Dollars... and thats about the same price to rent them in the states.. Ill check with the other guys but im sure they are going to stick with the $20/day Crotch rockets...

There are two or three places do them but as has been said you are looking at 3000+ per day.

 

Its a LOT of bike to pay for if you damage it or iot gets nicked.

heh.. As they say HD... not so much Harley Davidson... but Hundred Dollars... and thats about the same price to rent them in the states.. Ill check with the other guys but im sure they are going to stick with the $20/day Crotch rockets...

I think the harleys cost 1-2 million baht, thats why its 100 dollars a day, not much money for tying up and risking that sort of money.

 

whereas these 20 dollar a day bikes cost 42,000 baht to buy.

 

I rented my bike out for a month a while ago, i think i charged 8000 baht for one month

I had thought of renting a HD for my next trip up North. I thought they would be a bit pricey, but not B3,000+ a day. I think I'll stick with a car or truck.

Wow 1mil baht is more then 30k USD$$... An '08 superglide is $15k and thats in Qatar (which is very overpriced) .. My first bike form the states '06 Soft-tail Deuce was only $16k brand new... $18k customized for me...

 

is that $30k+ price tag cause of some luxury tax? like in the PI?

Import duties and shipping are passed on to the customer. HDs made with expensive US labor, local Thai bikes made incountry with much cheaper labor. Imported cars are the same; the BMW they display in Big C are 5,000-10,000USD more than in the states.

A new road King or similar will cost about 1.2 mill, obviously there are cheaper models.

 

I would hope they come with full insurance for that much money.

East Coast Choppers in Jomtien come with full insurance.

Not enough power? Where can you even drive choppers and crotch rockets at any real speed aside from the highway? You can try to check out the place on 3rd rd that rents all the exotic cars. I'm sure they have some as they rent lambos and such.

Well I liked the 1000cc fireblade for one reason, not the top end stuff, just the 0-60 every where you go.. favorite spote was up the buddha hill, it was nice doing a wheely up it with a girl, who was even more terrified than me.

 

The only place I have almost come off, is the hill with the tourist police station, thats the best hill to hit with a motorbike.

 

This one is a small 600 cc, not enough power (too small in size for me)

Why rent a Harley? Just rent a good Jap bike, they are much better.

CBR600 RR if I am not mistaken, that puts out around 120bhp at the back wheel, obviously thats small potatoes against the 170bhp that the production 1000's now claim, then you have to take into consideration the power to weight ratio.....

 

Lets use Bira for example, its a small circuit, so you cant use the power of a 1000, so even a big fella like you would get round faster on a 600.... it has enough power me thinks.... you see the red bit on the rev counter? Get it in there before you change gear, hit it at the point between the red and the limiter, do that in every gear and then report back....
