I will help bump the thread by saying that a camera shop would want 2000 or more to fix it.

I think a 5-7 year old would enjoy clicking away photos with it...Costs nothing to click and then show them the photos THEY took on a computer...

Why not pop into a local school and give it to a teacher. Great to have a stock of cameras for science field trips and the like. As you said you only want 1000 baht. It's worth fuck all, so give it away to a good cause.

I been wondering what the problem is with your camera. At first I though it may be lens fungus, or moisture inside. But after looking more closely at the photos of the camera you posted it seems severe scratching of the outside lens coating is to blame for the poor IQ.

 

My guess is at some stage the camera has been so badly treated that the chrome around the lens, and the lens itself, has become badly scratched. 

 

I'm not having a shot at you here, just pointing out that the camera is so badly damaged that it's worthless.

Your right about the hazing on the lens...Definitely not worth repairing....Maybe good for a 5-7 year old to play with ,as a toy, as all functions are still working....Thanks for your info.
