Important travel information/advice on Coup/Curfew

We want to inform you about the situation in Thailand. The military has officially declared a coup, and has taken over for the standing government. An overnight curfew has been implemented, beginning on May 22. The curfew is from 2200 to 0500, each night. The BTS Skytrain will end operations at 2100 each night and resume at 0600 in the morning. The military has said that it will allow people to travel to and from the airports during curfew hours for their flights. However, you should be prepared to show flight information at security checkpoints, which are being set up throughout the cities. So far flights are operating normally at all Thai airports.

We recommend that you obey the curfew and allow extra time to travel; especially in the evening hours as traffic congestion will likely increase as residents rush to get home ahead of the 2200 curfew. Also, heed directions from military officials, and always carry identification. Avoid all large gatherings and protest camps. Monitor the local news for the latest information.
