Golden sea Hotel................Pattaya

Gents please help with info and pics as my friend Mark is thinking of staying at the Golden Sea hotel in Pattaya & I have seen it here some where, I could do with some real good up to date info and pics.

 

Opinion from guys who have stayed in a hotel is always a good way to measure it as there is nothing like real experence.

 

I do not want my friend to stay in the wrong place.

Golden sea is a nice cool hotel its GF and the rooms are good value for money I had a room there for a few nights in March.

i'm booking in there next week and as you say info is limited there is one report with some pics on the Secrets board.........the pics posted of the pool make it look better than the hotel website and sawadee booking agency pics

 

immediate location outside hotel is maybe not the best on soi B but its on a bus route and should be interesting

I stayed there a couple weeks ago :

 

location is ok its on the bukhao baht bus route

 

rooms are large and new

 

the rear rooms on the lower floor are a security risk because the neighbour building could crawl in

 

there is construction next door and its noisy during the day , especially in the south end of the building .

 

no wifi in most rooms , only in lobby and 1st 2 floors pool side ( and you have to pay for it )

 

they only accept cash

 

the shower heads are the cheapest around and it very annoying when trying to shower

 

as I say the rooms are new , clean and large . It there was no construction next door it would be ok

When you come out of the hotel are you on the soi Boukocw or is there a walk ??????

 

Can any one tell me just what bars or resturants are near to this hotel ?????

you are on soi buakhow when you walk out the hotel, just up the road is soi diana/lk metro etc.

nice hotel imo.

On my 3rd at Golden Sea - so a brief update for those who were also looking at this place

 

Good - i have a pool view room at the rear and its very quiet very very minimial general day to day noise

and the bed is big and soft and the pool is nice size (though in the shade mid to late pm) and not busy so you can chill out around the place

 

Bad - the shower is crap its also described as crap in another review i read.

 

Cleanliness - above average I'd say but not eating my food off the floor just in case.
