Anyone looking to fly London to Bangkok soon should check out www.malaysiaairlines.com

and click on "Deals of the day" they are offering return flights from £ 559.00 thats a good price !

Direct flights no stops on route

Checked skyscanner and as a comparison put the dates of the 2nd to 15th June and cheapest

direct flight on there was £ 658.00 so £ 99.00 cheaper.

Obviously there were cheaper flights if you dont mind stopping once or twice.

Malaysia don't fly direct to Bangkok from UK. You fly via KL in each direction.

Guess they're desperate to get back customers after the MH370 mystery tour, hence the discounts.

Next trip Aug 31-Sep13, theme: try more freelancers, get dirty! Note to self: TAKE MORE PHOTOS!!!

Yes that's the price I got when I put dates in. They'd have had a small number of seats on each date at the Economy Special Fare so chances are there aren't many dates with that available now!

EDIT There are fares of just under £600 available for travel in June and early July. Whether the under £500 are still to be found on certain dates will need more searching!

OP, are you sure Malaysia Airlines flies direct LON-BKK?

surely they'd stop at their hub, KUL?

They are also part of the oneworld alliance with British Airways, Cathay Pacific, American Airlines, and Qantas so you can get miles with them if you are member of any of those airlines FF programs.

Yes, they do, they fly directly to KLIA and from there some passengers go in and out to BKK.

Couldn't agree more.

And the cheap Air Asia Flights, although not to Europe.....yet...may be a factor, as it would affect MA's Gross Revenue.

Wish Singapore Airlines would drop their prices.

But that is very unlikely.
