you hire a speedboat yourself and have it for your own use. it will leave when you are ready. there is a public ferry service from bali hai pier, do you mean this?

Public ferry boat 6 p.m. and speed boat after agreement betweeen you and driver speed boat which make servise for you. Usually 6,30 p.m. before dark.

When you walk up to the pier to the ferry there are guys offering you a speedboat trip back to Pattaya at 2/300Bht .

Last boat goes 5.30/6.00pm . They want to be back in Pattaya before dark .
