She make a killing.

 

Lets say she sell 200 kebabs each night.

 

200 x 60 baht = 12,000 baht each night.

 

1 year = 4.8 million baht turnover.

 

Theres money to be made in kebabs

Same same here. 150 baht for a good filling feed. Yes the kebab cart around the corner from our house still sells them for 50 baht each.

There is a place on Sukhumvit Road sells them. Sells all heavy duty cooking equipment.

 

Looked into it already in Pattaya (as have thousands of others too no doubt) as we have food stalls in Bangkok selling western foods but its almost impossible here due to the licensing. BKK is easier as its bigger but the choice locations are impossible without massive bribes.

 

 

IF you can get a reliable Thai partner and someone to run the thing it's possible but even then you would need to be on wheels and constantly on the move.

 

The best businesses are the non Thai food ones. WHY sell a 25 baht bowl of noodles when you can sell a 60 baht kebab and have a queue. My wife knows the lady with the Roti (pancake) stall in Marine. She has a huge house and 3 kids at University. Roti obviously a lot lower costs than kebab but then again she sells them at 40 baht - its the quick turnover/low cost that makes the cash.

You will see 2nd hand ones quite often as many people buy them before they find out its impossible to set up stalls. I assume the OP is looking at a shop which is far more feasible.

Her profit margin will probably be 5 baht per kebab. Product costs are small but licence fees, location bribes and ummmm "tea money" will certainly eat that away.
