Kidnappers demand 11 million dollars for Chinese tourist

Kuala Lumpur - Kidnappers who abducted a Chinese tourist from Malaysia last week have demanded a ransom of more than 11 million dollars for her release, Kuala Lumpur said Thursday.

I've seen one tv show about a man who was kidnapped by a taxi driver. He was targeted because he stayed in a five star hotel. They chained him in a room somewhere near Manilla. Kept on demanding money for daily upkeep from the family, but we're demanding sums in the millions. Tortured the shit out of the guy, even shot him in the arm. In the end either the FBI or some big international agency found the house and arrested the taxi driver and wife who were running the operation. Their sentence wasn't even that severe.
