Marine Seafood on Soi Lucky Star

Marine Seafood on Soi Lucky Star just off Walking Street has been in operation for over 20 years. It's still a decent seafood option in the WS area, especially since it's one of a very few that are open all night, from 5 pm to about 6.00 am.  It's been feeding late-night revelers for over two decades and the test of time is a tough one to pass in Pattaya.

 

It has a massive menu with just about every sort of seafood served up in dozens of variations, plus a lot of pork, chicken, beef and vegetable dishes. It's an open-air restaurant and certainly not a fancy place, but prices are reasonable compared with some of the water-front seafood restaurants on WS. I've had many, many BGs ask to go Marine.

The service staff is attentive and the food comes quickly.  The night the pics below were taken we had to wait a minute or two for the tiger prawns to cool down as they'd come straight from the barbecue.

Standard disclaimer: I am aware there are better places to have seafood in Pattaya and that you can get tasty seafood dishes cheaper at some of the street eateries, but this review is about Marine Seafood.

One of the young ladies with whom I ate last night had a cold and ordered tom yum thale (spicy mixed seafood hot and sour soup). Not only did it taste delicious, very light and fresh, but the herbs and spices in the soup are supposed to be good for colds. It sure cleared my sinuses!

The barbecued tiger prawns were also good and the dipping sauce was again spicy, too spicy for me.

I don't eat oysters in Thailand, but girls sure enjoyed them:

Nice pics and report Evil. Eaten there many times as well either before hitting WS or afterwards in the wee small hours.  As you mentioned it is a bit rough and ready but the food is good and fresh and the TG's seem to all appreciate it.

 

It is a bit of a journey if you want to take a piss from memory. They also have a wide selection of cocktails which are reasonably priced.

Eat there regularily when in Pattaya and the food has always been good.  Cheaper than many of the other seafood places but the quality is good, at least as good as many on Walking Street.  Always eat there early and there is never any queueing, food served quick.  Sometimes later in evening the place is very busy and some large groups catered for.

Stopped in about a week ago. Food was good as usual (Tom Yam Talay,Som Tam and some Curry Talay thing). Almost completely empty around 8PM but maybe because 10PM curfew.

Try eating in one of the waterfront restaurants, in  comparison Marine Seafood is great VFM imo.

This is my go to place for food, not only is the food great & reasonable you also get some great viewing with girls coming & going to WS, picked,up many a girl sitting there

My son and I were in a disco on WS last year and he BF'd a dancer.  I told mamas we were hungry (and drunk lol) and she walked us to a restaurant to eat.  I wanted to know what place it was because i was too messed up at 3am to remember.  You answered my question with this review.  Thanks!  We'll be back there in May.

  Marine Seafood has always been on my agenda at least 3 to 4 times per trip..........Food is very good from snacks to larger dinners......scenery is great, especially about 6 or 6:30 PM (catch all the girls going to work)................have been there so many times, but I keep going back.......must be good for me
