There is a number you can dial from Thailand, that is cheap to call back home in Uk. The normal code is 01144, but there is one I think is 01944 which is a lot cheaper. Can anyone confirm.

Dial 00944 then the UK number without the leading zero.

00544 is the best cost/quality for me using True Move.

That the one I use never had a problem with quality.

One thing you can do is to join a company called Jajah - http://www.jajah.com. Then you will be able to use your mobile phone to call the UK for only a few baht a minute. YOU will need to be at a computer only to initiate the call if you are in Thailand. If the other user is also in Jajah then you are allowed a quota of free minutes. I use it to call my GF all the time and hardly pay a penny.

Penasar go to www.deedial.com brilliant company UK landline at only about 1.5 baht a minute. You can buy a 99Baht card and then you top it up at 7/11.

There appears no be no rate quoted for calling UK. I looked under E for England, G for Great Britain, ans U for United kingdom and ........... nothing listed
