air Asia has a sale on at the moment. Flights from KL/GC are down to $199. You must book and pay before 8th May but the flights are upto 16th Novem ber. I have a flight Kl to GC in July and a return flight GC/KL/GC in sept/November. the three flights cost $600 including taxes and charges. Lots of options to get to KL from BKK (around $45 with air asia) Get in quickly

Thats pretty damn good, would make for a good trip to the Gold Coast then onto KL and BKK. Spewin' Air Asia doesnt fly out of Sydney.

 

Speaking of cheap flights Jetstar have a decent deal now where 2nd ticket is $4. Saw tix to Osaka for about $350 or so......

Thats pretty good i was told that with taxes its around 850 .i booked my flight about 8 weeks ago for june 14 and got it for 900 inc taxes with thai airways but i will look in to Air asia for trip in december as im from the gold coast

I used Air Asia for my first trip from the 10th April to the 28th. They were ok no real problems but the waiting around to change flights in KL really gave me the shits.

I ended up paying $1050, i should have got it cheaper but waited too long for a mate to decide he wouldn't come.

 

When you arrive in KL you have to go through immigration, wait around for your bags, go through customs, go over to the departure area, through the x-ray again, line up to check in, then wait around for another plane.

 

You need to allow about three hours between flights to allow for possible delays. On the way out i think 1 hour would have been enough but on the way back i needed every bit of that time.

 

The check in for KL to GC was crazy, lined up for almost 2 hours.

 

If you can get it cheap it might be worth it but i don't think i'd use them again. I would rather pay a bit extra and go direct with Thai i think.

 

Be aware that the flights from BK have a 15kg baggage limit. I got hit for 1800 baht for 7kg over.

This is an absolute scam by them because on all other flights you can prepay for extra luggage but not from BK.
