Nova Platinum Hotel

Has anybody stayed at this hotel ? Nova Platinum, I would like to know if its Girl Friendly and any other information will be appreciated, Thank You.

Hey Mav,

 

It is girl friendly (meaning you dont have to pay extra). It is a bit pricy compared, but it is a really nice hotel. I stayed there just before renting a house (New years). It is brand new. The service was second to none. Example: Me and a girl, drunk at 3 am, she wants milk. I call reception, and in 5 minutes there was a knock at the door with a big full glass of Ice cold milk. Another night, drunk at 3 am again, she needs a damn shower cap, call down and 5 minutes later, a shower cap knocks at the door. Beautiful place, after I got in my own house, I had three friends from Singapore come visit, two of them stayed at the Nova Platinum, they were equally as happy. Very nouvo styled rooms. Look to pay about 4k a night (high season), not sure about low season. Money well spent, the beds were outstanding as well. Very comfy with nice sheets and pillows. Hope this helps Bud.

The rooms are pretty small, but very clean. Good service, all Amari amenities (like good shampoo and stuff). Free WiFi in the room (get a code from the reception).

just stayed in there in may for the first time. 1800 per night deluxe room with no breakfast,

good new modern rooms, excellent service and the food was not to bad..... and o yer very girl friendly!!!!!

will be back there in september!!!

Just finished a short stay there at that Nova Platinum.

 

Like the rest found the hotel to be quite comfortable and extremely girl friendly (my mate had three BFs with him...front desk didn't even blink twice...only asked for id card and when about their nightly duties). Even the cleaning staff chatted with two of my BFs like old friends.

 

Did note some concerns.

 

- Top floor leaks after a rain. Staff said it was the a/c but the three rooms my mates had all had water - under the bed.

- Rooms far from sound proof...walking down the hall...I could hear folks engaged in evening activities

- Charged for small things like mouthwash: 107 b.

- No direct dial telephone out

- No alarm clocks

- No phone message service

 

* Driver didn't know where the hotel was. Took us to the Nova Lodge, and Nova Residence. Make sure you tell your driver the hotel is next to the Saim Bayview hotel. Hopefully this will save you the extra hour "tour" of Pattaya.

 

Some plus':

- Nice bed (mid-firmness) and headboard is fixed and padded.

- Resturante - Breakfast buffet was good...avoid sandwiches (almost entirely bread)...decent steak

- Nice pool bar

- Extremely friendly Staff

- About 5-10 minute walk to south end of Walking Street

- Had one 110 v outlet in bathroom.

- Good water pressure and temperature (like hot showers in the morning)

 

Overall the stay was pleasant, but not sure if I would stay again. Espically after seeing a Secret's & a Swiss House Room, which were both closer to WS (Soi 14) and cheaper.

Where exactly is the hotel? I have trouble judging distances from the maps. How close is it to Big C? Would you say its half way between Big C and Walking Street?

 

I'm thinking about staying there 5 nights with my Thai gf, the pool looks like she would have fun it. Good hotel for that?

Its a 5-7 mins stroll to Marine, Coyotes or Walking Street.

I'm not so good with the area sorry, correct me if I'm wrong, if its a 7 minute stroll to Walking Street, then it would be about a 10 minute walk to the Big C area?

You would need to jump on a baht bus to go to Big C.

Fella's think you are having the same problem my mates and I had.

 

The map you are looking at is incorrect...the hotel is located south of the VC hotel, south of the Berverly Suites, south of the Vault, and next to the Siam Bayview on 2nd Pattaya Road.

 

The Nova you are refering to is the Nova Lodge / Residence.

 

We thought the same thing and pland our crawls in the Soi 6 area...the hotel is actually located south of Walking Street actually about 5-7 minutes walking.

 

We ended up with an extra hour wandering around looking for the hotel, when our driver just happened across a motor taxi driver that knew the hotel...

 

Apologize for the hugh picture size...have to learn more about posting picture/graphics...but regardless here you are - the hotel card for your taxi/driver.
