Truemove 3G prepaid sim card

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

I am going over to Pattaya next week and I need a prepaid sim card with data package: I have seen this:

http://truemoveh.truecorp.co.th/3g/sim-truemoveh/prepaid/entry/2271

It seems suitable for what I need. The "Net 450" data package offers "Unlimited data" for 450 Baht, valid for 30 days. What is the catch? Is it XX MB at fast speed, and then back down the edge? The Truemove website doesn't seem particularly clear on it (unless I missed something).

Many thanks in advance and Happy New Year!

I got a True Move SIM this last trip and it doesn't work at all at home. I think AIS would do roaming.

up to you

Maybe you have to activate roaming before leaving Thailand or something like that. Not sure to be honest.

"Unlimited" yeah right!!! They cut you off after about 5GB!!! I fell for this last year when I was there. Very good and strong coverage at 3G speeds all over Pattaya. I think the unlimited part is if you go onto their wi-fi network.

You can never take back ......
  • A moment after it's missed
  • A word after it's said
  • Time after it's been wasted

Got one last trip a few months ago..works great but once you use up your data ( think I had 3GB) its slow as fuck.

For what it's worth I just got one of these for my iPad.

Works Fuxking Awsome everywhere.And fast.

Unlimited data for 1 month inc SIM card for 1050 baht.

I just pointed to the bottom of the sign that cost the most and said "that one"

Had to battle a sea of Russians trying to form lines though.

Tukom.Green sign.Something wifi.

I was there because I dropped my iPad.Got the glass replaced for 2500 baht.Good deal.

I also bought 30 games on one card for my boys Nintendo DS.

800 baht.

Oh well, 3GB for 450 Baht isn't too bad as I can always login to wifi where it's available.:)

Cheers,
