Bangladeshi Man Hangs Himself

Bangladeshi man who lived with his elder brother found him dead as he had hung himself from a ceiling fan. The time of death was questioned by his brother as he said it was around 2hrs not 4-6 hrs as stated by the doctors. The case continues.

PATHUM THANI – December 14, 2013 [PDN]; at 1.30 a.m. Pol. Lt. Phuriphat Phumek (Investigation officer of Khlong 5 police station, Pathumthani province was notified that there was the foreign man hung himself to death in the room of Malee mansion address 29/147-148 Moo 1 Soi Khlong 6 East 12 (Soi Malee), Tambon Khlong 6, Amphur Khlong Luang, Pathum Thani province so he rushed to inspect at scene together with the doctor on duty of Khlong Luang hospital, the volunteers of Por Tek Tueng foundation and the members of Yeaw Weha club of Pathum Thani province.

At the incident on the 5th floor at room number 1505 the officers found the corpse of Mr. Hasan Md Mahadi, aged 23, Bangladeshi nationality, that had hung himself by tying some cloth around his neck that was tied to the ceiling fan in the middle of the room. The deceased was wearing a white long sleeved shirt with the black pants. From initial inspection, the officers found green bruise around his neck which the doctor assumed that he had been dead for approximately 4-6 hours.

From investigating Mr. Z.Islam, aged 30, who is the elder brother of the deceased, said that he is the student of Technology Ratchamongkhol Thanyaburi University and is studying in the Faculty of Science and Technology as the junior student and his younger brother had come from Bangladesh and had stayed with him for 3 months in order to decide whether he would continue studying or work. Before the incident occurred at 12.30 a.m. his younger brother was smoking in the room so he walked out of the room and went downstairs and locked the door. He came back around 1.00 a.m. and found that the room was locked from the inside and he tried to call his younger brother there was no answer so he called the security guard to open the door and when he entered they found his younger brother had hung himself from the ceiling fan so he rushed to cut him down but his younger brother was already dead so he notified the police.

Pol. Lt. Phuriphat Phumek (Investigation officer of Khlong 5 police station) revealed that from investigating Mr. Z.Islam (the elder brother of the deceased) said that the doctor assumed that he had been dead for approximately 4-6 hours but Mr. Z.Islam told them that he had only been out of the room for only half an hour and the doctor arrived at scene 30 minutes after that which is a total of 2 hours approximately that his brother had been dead, not 4-6 hours as stated by the doctors. Besides, their relatives in Bangladesh didn’t allow the doctor to dissect the corpse for the autopsy due to their dogma. However, the police will investigate Mr. Z. Islam (the elder brother of the deceased) further in more detail again and will let the rescuers take the corpse to be kept at Tharmmasart Chelerm Phra Kiet hospital.
