People were shocked when they heard that 2 geese can understand English because their owner usually talks to them in English. The owner said that they can remember all commands.

pdn3PATTAYA – December 12, 2013 [PDN]; Pattaya journalists were notified by local people that there were 2 geese that can understand English commands from their owner at 280/12 Thanyawan village, Soi Nern Plub Wan, Moo 5 Tambon Nong Prue, Amphur Banglamung, Chonburi province so the journalists went to find out further details.

The journalists found Mrs. Janthira Mos, aged 56, was talking her 2 geese that called “Jao Thong” (a male goose) and “Jao Dee” (a female goose), aged 6 month. Mrs. Janthira told the journalists that she has a foreign husband and has lived in this village for a long time. During the last 6 months she started to feed the geese so they would watch over the house to deter thieves because geese make a lot of noise when they see strangers come into the garden. She consulted with her husband then they bought 2 geese of her own from a farm and fed them as if they were her own children. She named them as “Jao Thong” and “Jao Dee”.

Mrs. Janthira continued to say that her and her husband usually talk and order these 2 geese in English language and when she calls their names they will walk up to her. Both geese like to walk up the stairs and follow her and her husband to the second floor to greet other family members.

Besides, whenever her and her husband going walking around the village in the evening “Jao Thong” and “Jao Dee” will walk behind them all the way as its their daily routine and when they stop to talk with the neighbours then the 2 geese will express their jealousy instantly and will peck everyone that comes close to them so her and her husband have to make sure the geese are wearing collars around their necks. However, her and her husband intend to feed these 2 geese as if they are their own children forever until they die of old age.
