Ladyboy Flight Ticket Scam Arrested

Immigration police arrested a ladyboy at the airport after he cheated people by selling flight tickets via internet. Lots of people had purchased tickets but the never received them. All the victims were embezzled totalling almost 1 million THB.

BANGKOK – December 14, 2013 [PDN]; at 1.30 a.m. the immigration police together arrested Mr. Pech Hotarat, aged 32, address 8 Moo 7 Tambon Lao Tang Kham, Amphur Phonphisai, Nong Khai province according to the writ of Pattaya provincial court at J.375/2556 dated May 28, 2013 in the allegation of issuing cheques in order to pay for a debt which was enforceable according to the law. The Bank refused to cash the cheques.

Many victims had reported to Pattaya city police station that Mr. Pech Hotarat had cheated them by selling flight tickets via internet. They had transferred money to Pech Hotarat bank account for the fare of domestic and international flight tickets but they never received a flight tickets so they contacted to Mr. Pech to refund their money but he claimed that he didn’t have any as some of his customers had given him cheques which had bounced so he couldn’t withdraw any money, therefore the victims went inform the police at Pattaya city police station.

Initially, the immigration police were notified by the detective police team of Pattaya city police station that Mr. Pech Hotarat, aged 32, was going to depart from the kingdom of Thailand so the immigration police team went to inspect at the airport and found Mr. Pech Hotarat was at passport control. He was on his way to Seoul, Korea. Then the officers appeared and served him with a writ of Pattaya provincial court at J.375/2556 dated May 28, 2013 which Mr. Pech Hotarat confirmed that he is the person as indicated in the writ therefore the officers detained him to be sent to the investigation officer of Pattaya city police station in order to prosecute him further according to the Thai law.
