Swedish Man Cut His Own Throat

A Swedish man who was so stressed from a long term illness decided to cut his own throat in his room. The police rushed to the scene.

Phuket – December 11, 2013 [PDN]; at 16.30, police of Chalong, Muang , Phuket, reported that a Miss Kodchamon Boonraksa, that there was a foreigner who died in her place at, soi Suphakanlaya, moo 2, Rawai, Muang, Phuket. Pol.Capt.Thada Sodarak, the detective went with Pol.Lt.Col.Kittisak Nupueng, a specialist scienctist, and rescuers from Ruamjai Rescue foundation, Rawai municipality officers rushed to the crime scene.

At a one-storey 2 bedroom house they found the body of a white male, lying on his back on the bed, a blanket covered his lower part and he was wearing a white t shirt and blue printed short. On the floor there was some blood. Also there was a blue plastic wash basin containing a great deal of blood. The police found a kitchen knife, a fruit knife, a pointy edge knife, a hammer which they kept for evidence. From checking the body he had sustained a wound to the left part of his neck.

From asking Miss Kodchamon the man was a Mr. PER TORBEN LINDGREN, 57 years old from Sweden. Before it happened, they were talking in their room, but about 13.00pm, the man said to her that he was hungry so she went out to get him something to eat because he needed to take a pill. She had been out for an hour, when she arrived back home she found that all the windows had been shut so she called him but he didn’t answer. So she searched the house and found him dead, so she called the police.

Miss Kodchamon said that he had been in Phuket for 3 years and he always said he wanted to die, because he had long term illness and the symptoms were getting worse, tomorrow he had an appointment with a doctor for his results. They talked to each other that they would go to see the doctor together, but he killed himself before that.
