IPhone 4S repair?

Recommended Posts

My Iphone 4S wont allow me to make outgoing calls (incoming okay).  Sim is okay as it was tested in another phone with no problems.  Any suggestions for a quick fix or a repair shop that might be able to assist?

Thanks

Go to Settings > General > Date and Time. Switch off “Set Automatically” and manually select your hometown (the default is Cupertino). If you dont change it, you will not be able to make outgoing calls. Once done, manually set the date and time, reset network settings" and then restart.

If you want, you can reset the 2 settings to “Set Automatically” again. Next, go to Settings > Phone > Show My Caller ID > Switch this to “ON".

Try that first see if it helps.

I've tried everything but smashing the piss out of it :( lol.  Thanks :) will likely buy a cheapo to use for the next four months and then have some fun shouting at the folks in the Apple store back home.

If your carrier is AT&T or Rodgers, your phone is likely locked to their networks, the fuckers. Tukcom can jailbreak it so you can use another carrier, and when you're home you can then bitch and moan. Nothing to fret about now tho!

On the other hand, a cheapo phone is probably smarter - I had my iPhone nipped on a bahtbus and used a Samsung POS for the rest of the vacation. The replacement iPhone stays at home now.
