EDIT:

Title should read "Political Protests with respect to Chonburi and Pattaya City Only"

----------------------------------

I'm currently in the Philippines returning to Pattaya tomorrow evening, December 3rd.

Inquiry regarding Pattaya:

1) I assume the protests in are Thailand limited to Bangkok only.

Correct?

2) The airport is not effected and is running smoothly.

Correct?

3) Traffic, from the airport to the Chonburi Provence / Pattaya, is running smoothly.

Correct?

My Thai travel agent in California tells me they are not going to let the airport shut down as it did in 2008.

I'll be departing Pattaya to California on December 9th or 10th, so I assume I should probably be fine.  I could remain in the Philippines and re-route through Manila, but I assume everything should be fine based on my criteria of staying in Pattaya and avoiding Bangkok.

Thoughts?

So far you are correct. Someone with boots on the ground could probably give you more info.

I arrived yesterday , and as of yesterday everything correct as you've said, if I hadn't watched the news, I wouldn't even know there was anything happening
