Tour Bus Jumps Red Light Killing Student

A tour bus drove through a red light and collided with a student who was on his way home killing him instantly.

pdn3PATTAYA – November 29, 2013 [PDN]; at 6.30 p.m. Pol. Lt. Col. Attharos Khrongrach (Investigation officer of Pattaya city police station, Dongtarn curve sub-branch, Chonburi province) was notified that there was an accident which involved a tour bus that had collided with a motorbike causing the death of the student rider. The Incident occurred at the red light crossing in front of the entrance gate of Pattaya city 7 school (Nong Phangkhae), on Sukhumvit-Pattaya road, entrance route to Sattahip, Moo 12 Tambon Nong Prue, Amphur Banglamung, so he rushed to inspect the scene together with the police team and the rescuers of Sawangboribul Pattaya foundation.

At the incident the officers found a tour bus license number 32-3928 Bangkok of Chalermmon Service Co., Ltd. was parked on the road and the left headlight windshield had signs of a collision. The bus had collided with a motorbike being ridden by Narongrit Waenlor or Rit, aged 14, who was a secondary school student of Matthayomsuksa 2/3 of Pattaya city 7 school, he was practicing to obtain a set of Buddhist monk’s robes to prepare to be ordain for a presentation in respect and merit to King Bhumiphol on December 5, 2013 after he finished practicing he then rode his motorbike back home but when he arrived at the entrance of the school he was hit from behind by a tour bus and was killed instantly. The victim’s friends said that the tour bus jumped the red light and collided with the motorbike killing the rider. The police detained the bus driver to inspect whether he had alcohol in his blood or not and will prosecute him according to Thai law.
