Burglar Tries To Poison Owner

A burglar who broke into a house tried to mix caustic soda with drinking water which was then place in the refrigerator to kill the house owner.

RAYONG – November 26, 2013 [PDN]; At 9.00 a.m. Pol. Lt. Kaweewuth Boonrueang (police on duty of Mueang Rayong police station) was notified by Ms. Jirayu Saojan, aged 26, who lives in Tharathorn village address 195/180 Moo 5 Tambon Cherngnern, Amphur Mueang, Rayong province that there was a villain who had climbed the wall behind her house and had pried the door open to go inside and had bought caustic soda to mix with drinking water in the refrigerator in order to kill her. Therefore, Pol. Lt. Kaweewuth Boonrueang together with Pol. Lt. Col. Nawin Theerawit (Deputy Superintendent) and some detective police rushed to inspect the scene and when they arrived at the incident the officers found a bottle of water which was mixed with caustic soda .

From investigating Ms. Jirayu Saojan, aged 26 (the victim) said that she lives with her husband at the house. During the last 3 months she had associated with the neighbor but had argued with her neighbor 10 days ago but last night when she came back home she picked up the bottle of water in the refrigerator to drink but she felt fiery at her mouth so she rinsed the mouth and ate the raw egg in order to vomit. She then took the water to the officer of Sawang Pornkusol foundation who lives in the same row house to inspect the water.

When the officer shook the bottle he found that it was the caustic soda mixed with water as there was the bad smell of the caustic soda and a yellow bubble. Ms. Jirayu (the victim) went to see the doctor at Rayong hospital and the doctor told her that her body was not suffered from the caustic soda mixing with water because she had not drunk it yet and gave her medicine to relieve swollen swollen mouth.

Pol. Lt. Col. Nawin said that from initial investigation he found footprints of the villain next to the wall at the back of the house. The officers took the chemical substance in the bottle to be tested the police are in the process of questioning the neighbor and if found guilty he will be prosecuted according to Thai law., that it might be the cause of this incident and the police will call this neighbor to investigate to prosecute further according to Thai law.
