Pol. Capt. Witsanu Chaisuwan (Deputy Inspector of Pattaya city police station) revealed that the police had been informed that Mrs. Taeng-orn (the defendant) was selling marijuana( ganja) to teenagers and foreigners for a long time so the officers planned to purchase some by using an undercover police officer at a price of 400THB. An appointment was made to purchase the ganja in front of her rented house, but she was alerted and ran back inside where the police team arrested her. They searched the house and found the ganja.

Upon questioning Mrs. Taeng-orn (the defendant), she claimed that after she quit selling papaya salad she was unemployed and didn’t have enough money to live and pay for her 2 children’s education fees. She decided to sell marijuana via an agent who brought the ganja to her house and she would divide them into small bags in order to sell them to customers all over Pattaya city. She sold ganja at the price of 200 THB and had done so for a long time until she was arrested. Initially, the police charged her with the allegation of “Having drug type 5 (ganja) in possession illegally” then sent her for further questioning and to be prosecuted according to Thai law.

I think the police might have a broken scale. That would be a massive count for 2.5g, I would reckon it's more like 25g(if not more) not 2.5g...I love how they make her point at the "ganja" haha
