Alright lads,

Just wondering if any of you have made the trip from Dublin to Bkk via Amsterdam with China airlines and any comments you have about the service.

Specifically I am wondering if Aer Lingus give you both Boarding passes on the way out and likewise with China Airlines on way back. Last time I travelled was with Aer Lingus/Emirates via Dubai. On way out got both boarding passes with Aer Lingus so had no problems. On way back only got first boarding pass in Bkk and nearly missed flight to Dublin as Dubai airport was such a mess.

Anyway would appreciate any comments/tips any of you have re checking in, seat selection or otherwise.

Cheers.

Why do you want to keep going out of the way, 6 hour flight to Bangkok on Emirates or Etihad.... as far as China Air, Old Planes, Old Flight Crew, really nothing good to say about the airline, you can look up the reviews. Wish I could be more help, but to travel around the world from Dubai to get to Bangkok, doesn't make sense to me... :GiveBeer1::Moon2:

Hey Dr Cop,

I'm not that thick. I was talking about travelling from DUBLIN, IRELAND.

On last trip I travelled via DUBAI.

Cheers

crew was o.k. and gave me what i asked

only 1 time i didn´t had the seat i wanted (window)

China via Humberside same flight shit , prefer Emirates the crew on China never smile you ask for a beer they give you a strange look. Only good thing is its non stop apart from that its nothing special. I added the time up door to door it was just as quick for me to drive to Manchester via Emirates as i had a long wait to connect in Amsterdam.

BENJI....I have not flown with China Airlines myself... but I have mostly heard and read positive comments about the airline.

Enjoy the trip!
