A British tourist drowned as he walked along a beach in Phuket. During a big storm he decided to walk along Karon beach in Phuket but whist walking he was washed into the heavy sea by a large wave and drowned.

PHUKET – November 23,2013 [PDN]: at 14.00, Pol.Lt.Col.Preecha Songserm, detective inspector of Katu police station, Patong,Katu,Phuket, was informed from a nurse of Muang Patong hospital, that a 63 years old, British tourist had drowned in the sea and died while he was being rushed to hospital.

After that the police reported Pol.Col.Jirapat Pochanapan, director of Kratu, told Pol.Lt.Capt.Nipol Temsang, detective to come and witness the autopsy at the hospital. The dead man was Mr.Brycase Edwards, 63 years old, British,who was only wearing pants. There were no cuts, bruises, or traces of being beaten on his body.

From investigation the incident the police found out that the man was walking on the beach in a big storm with strong winds and heavy rain when a large wave washed him into the sea, beach guards tried to help but were too late and he died while being sent to the hospital.

Stayed on Karon beach last year two Japanese had to be rescued after getting caught in a strong current both came out in a bad way
