m26 Grenade Found On A Road

Residents were shocked after seeing an m26 grenade on the side of the road so they called the police, but officers found that it was fake and they suspected it was a prank.

PATTAYA – November 22, 2013 [PDN]: at 22.00 , Pol.Lt.Capt.Nopadol Intasorn, vice suppression inspector of Banglamoong police station, reported that there was a hand grenade on a road in soi Sukhumwit-Pattaya33, (soi Pattaya Yangyon crossed soi Boonnark), moo 6, Nakluea, Banglamoong, so they went to inspect.

At the crime scene they found car tires were covering the grenade for protection, after inspecting the m26 grenade there was a rubber band tied to the trigger pole, the officers blocked toff he road to keep people at a safe distance.
After checking it thoroughly they found that it was fake .Upon questioning Mr.Tara Klangthong, 50 years old from the municipal traffic office department, confirmed he drove passed and saw the grenade on the side of the road so he stopped and covered it with tires before calling the police.

Pol.Lt.Capt.Noppadol Intasorn said that after inspecting it thoroughly, it was found to be fake. The police expected that it belonged to local teenagers and were using it to threaten other people or were just playing a prank.
