Police arrested a doctorate degree former public health government officer, who opened a clinic illegally and practiced medicine.

pdn03PATTAYA – November 19,2013 [PDN]; Pol.Lt.Col.Passakorn Paijit, vice director of the detective department, of Wattahanakorn, temporaty duty to the children and women protection center, of provincial police 2, investigated and found that, the house number 36/7, moo 7, Pong, Panglamoong, Chonburi, there was an illegal clinic, that was operating without permission, so he commanded Pol.Lt.Capt. Warakorn Bannasit and Pol.Lt.Capt. Nitipat Hemakul, vice detective inspector to find out more information.

After gathering enough evidence, they sent up a sting operation to buy antibiotics for 50 baht, the spy found a female employee who was serving, upon purchasing the antibiotics the police showed themselves and asked to search the premises, they then found Mr. Jutha Suriyawong, the clinic owner who was injecting one of his clients an old man, the police caught him with a medical equipment set, a bottle or Erycon drug, containg 150 tablets, a bottle of Ibustar drugs, containing 200 tablets, a bottle of Ampi 500 BSP drug, containing 250 tablets, and 20 tablets of Prednisolone, all of them were considered to be hard drugs.

From the investigation, Mr. Jutha, the clinic owner was a former executive officer of public health, rank 6, who graduated with a master’s degree from Nida, and a doctorate degree from a university in Australia. He quit working for the public health in 2004 and opened the clinic, but he did not register for a medical license and he is not a pharmacist but he used his old knowledge when he was in the public health to inject and dispense and cure people’s sickness, almost all of his clients were old people who had been cured by him before, so they trusted him.

However, after a preliminary investigation he was arrested on four counts: 1. Opening a clinic without permission. 2. Running a clinic without permission 3. Sale and imported drugs which are not listed in the Kingdom. 4. Practicing medicine without prior permission. He was then taken to Nong Prue , Banglamung to prosecuted according to Thai law .
