Brit DJ(42) dies in Pattaya hotel

DID HE OVERDOSE ON 'FUN'?

 

Police in Thailand are investigating the death of a 42-year-old British DJ and ‘party animal’ who died in a Pattaya hotel two days ago.

 

Scott Daniels, 42, from Ossett, near Wakefield, Yorkshire, died in the Shagwell Mansions, Pattaya. The cause of death has not been revealed.

 

It is however reported the Australian hotel manager was called to his room late at night after Daniels reported feeling unwell. He was in his hotel room alone.

 

After being calmed it is reported that he died on his bed.

 

A spokesman for Shagwell Mansions said: “The police are investigating and we understand a post mortem will be conducted. We cannot comment any further”

 

 

Daniels, known to his friends as Scotty, was a very popular DJ, who staged many events at clubs like the ‘Propaganda’ in Leeds.

 

He had been planning to manage/ host a restaurant-bar-hotel in Sihanoukville, Cambodia, said a friend, but did not turn up in Thailand for an appointment with the owner.

 

He made no secret of loving Pattaya and whatever it had to offer and was described by friends as variously ‘larger than life’, ‘hyperactive’ and a man who ‘could always bring a smile to your face.

 

 

 

His Facebook page was littered with pictures of Thai girls including this one of a girl tucked away in a suitcase - and he made it quite clear he was in Pattaya to party. He was also 'an open book' said a friend.

 

Many people have paid tributes to him on his Facebook site where he makes it quite clear that he enjoyed, perhaps in excess, whatever Pattaya had to offer.

 

Friends fear that Pattaya might have got the better of him, or that he might have unwillingly consumed a harmful drug.

 

 

Daniels is reported to have died clutching a picture of him mother and father. His father died some years ago.

 

Police in Pattaya said: “We are investigating. But have no comment at this stage. We have interviewed people at the hotel and two friends."

I just read on the stuff on facebook,  having his parents photo in his hand says to me he was worried about dying or knew it was coming.

What's Dengue fever like? I've got cold sweats, muscle cramps and am shekkin like several shitein downs? I thought a few G+Ts would straighten me out but nope!

Strange! I don't get sick very often but last week I had the same symptoms, worst diarrhea i have had in 5 years, and the chills like never had before, small breeze on my skin and shivering, plus the aches allover.Finished in 36 hours

 

Jocky King can confirm this as I told him at the time.

 

Anyway, RIP to Scott, looks like he enjoyed life to the full, and got unlucky with something

I met him in a bar in soi 8 in Pattaya, first time I was there and alone and he turned out to be a mate of a mate and lived 5 miles from me showed me all the ropes, , and partied for 4 days, looked after me good, he will be missed

Our business is based in Ossett, UK, and the death of Scott is a hot topic, and all over the local papers/news.

 

 

It implies that he was a major player in the drugs scene in Leeds, and absconded to Thailand to get away from the BIB 

and a rival drugs gang.   It appears that the UK had asked for his deportation over drugs offences, and as such, he could

not return to see his family without being arrested or worse, being found by 'others' that wanted to find him.

 

It goes on to say that he was infact shot, and this was retribution for a lost cocaine shipment in Leeds from which he fled overseas.

The rival gangs had got wind of where he was living/working, and that was that.   The dengue fever claim is just a way of not

raising the profile of the case higher.

 

Our receptionist remembers that his dad died about 2 years ago, and Scott was upset as he was unable to pay his respects.

 

 

I have no idea if any of this is true, just what is in the papers and open for all to read.   I will try to post the article.

Yeah you did.....Hope you are alright now. RIP to Scott. Never knew him but he sound a great fella..
