Set on the rooftop of Pattaya’s newest five-star hotel, Centara Grand Phratamnak Pattaya, Ruffino Restaurant & Lounge has superb views of the bay and serves Italian coastal cuisine along with the wines of Italian wine house Ruffino.

The newly opened restaurant is the first venture in which Ruffino and a hotel operator have combined to use the Ruffino brand for a restaurant outlet.

Ruffino’s debut menu includes signature dishes that have been collected from different parts of the long Italian coastline.

Appetisers range from buffalo mozzarella bites to fresh tomato soup, and zuppa di funghi della maremma, a soup of porcini mushrooms cooked in a beef broth.

Grilled zesty and spicy mussels are served with prosciutto flavoured bread crumbs, and there is a saffron fettuccine with pork cheek, truffle, scallops and mushrooms.

A Ruffino special is sardine “beccafico”, which is Sicilian style sweet and sour stuffed sardines with tomato, red onion, olives, and capers tossed in oregano.

Along with the extensive selection of Ruffino wines is a wide choice of wines from around the world.

The restaurant is open for lunch from noon to 3.00 pm and for dinner from 6.30 pm – 10.30 pm.
