Well I'm going back in mid-april and I had hoped to stay at the Queen Vic this time but they have no rooms!!!

 

:P

 

I stayed at Secrets last time and I'll probably stay there again unless there are any suggestions. I like having a bar with food in my hotel and I need to be close to walking street/soi6. I don't want to have to take a baht bus to the action................

Why not? They are just about the best thing in Pattaya for me, especially after having to endure Phuket's woeful transport.

As an alternative to Secrets try Galaxy Suites - much nicer rooms I am told and (I understand) an 895 a night special offer on now.

Mid April seems to be fine. Quadrat and Myself are there for 3 days of our trip. Booked it online with no problems. I sure hope I make it through those three days. LOL Staying on Soi 6 should be an interesting time. :ThankGod1:

Yep just spend 2 weeks @ Galaxy suite and the rooms are indeed 895 a night good hotel in a great location.

I have been considering Galaxy suites ... but also worried that it is right above Heavens Above gogo. - Wouldn't that make this a very very noisy location (i.e, sleep would seem to be out of the question at least until the wee hours of early morning).

I stayed in three different rooms at Galaxy and sleep is defintely an issue there. It is very noisy until early morning and when the sun comes up there is no escaping the light. The only thing Galaxy has going for it is the location and the very girl friendly staff. Nicer rooms can be had for less but it depends on what is important to you. For me the location and the fact I can take as many girls as I want to my room without a second glance make it worth staying in again. I never go to sleep until 3 or 4 in the morning anyway so the noise doesn't bother me.
