hotel/condo plans

I will be coming in late june through early july and was wondering what everyone thinks about a newbie staying in the view talay in one of the villas with a pool. Is it a pain to get to the main areas in pattaya? Would I be better off staying in a place like the vault/acrea lodge for my entire stay?

What my plan is - at this point - is to stay in a place like the vault (gotta fulfill those hot tub fantasies) for the first couple of days and then move over to a place like the villas or a hotel with a pool for the rest of my stay.

If it's your first trip I would skip the View Talay. I certainly wouldn't book the View Talay in advance.
