Ripley’s Museum Arrange Guinness World Records Day

Ripley’s museum have arranged a" Guinness World Records Day 2013" which was open for Thai people to try and set a new vertical push ups world record and other world records.They are hoping that the existing records will be broken.

PATTAYA – November 14, 2013 [PDN]: at 17:30 , at Ripley’s Believe It Or Not museum, Royal Garden Plaza department store Pattaya, Mr.Somporn Narksuetrong, vice executives chairman at the museum, with executives and the members of the city council , joined the ceremony to launch the ” Guinness World Records Day 2013″ to reach out to Thai people who might be able to break a world record and for their name to be written in the Guinness’s Book of record.

Mr.Somporn Narnsuetrong, said that on November 14 every year, was “Guinness World Records Day”, all around the world, people would try to set new record simultaneously. This year it was the first time that the museum was to hold official world record attempts. The first record attempt was to see how many vertical push ups as possible could be done in one minute, the second was catching limes blindfold as many as possible in 30 seconds, the third was pulling handy firework as many as possible in 30 seconds, and finally stacking 10 dices vertically as fast as possible by using chopsticks.

For the results appear, The Guinness World Records record, for vertical pushups is Mr.Suthipongs Phu kaokhaeo,27 years old, teacher of fencing and boxing from Khonkaen, institute of Physical Education , Mahasarakham , former champion from the game show call “Game Pan Na” who did 25 vertical push, breaking his old record of 20 .

The record of using chopsticks to stack 10 dices vertically, the fastest Mr.Anueng Jantorn, 28 years old, from Nakorn Sawan, in 13.820 seconds. Being blindfolded and catching limes, he got 14 limes in 30 seconds but equalled 30 year old Mr.Kriangkrai Puangkan record .

While the children firework pulling competition , the winner was Thanapat Boonbamrung, 15 years old, from Surin, he pulled 39 of handy fireworks in 30 seconds. Mesya Pharakul, 15 years old girl, from Chaiyapoom, is the winner of domino arrangement, she arranged 41 dominos in 30 seconds. All statistics will be processed and compared with statistics from around the world competing in the same category to find out who will win and set a world record of 2013.
