Swiss Man Dozed Off While Driving Motorbike

A Swiss man was riding his motor bike on the Sukhumvit road near Sattahip when he dozed off. He collided with a post and severely injured himself; rescuers were quick to the scene to assist him.

SATTAHIP – November 14, 2013 [PDN]; at 5.00 p.m. the radio centre of the Sawangrojjanatharmmasatharn Sattahip rescue foundation was notified that there was a motorbike accident which had collided with a street post and the rider was severely injured. The incident occurred on Sukhumvit road km.180, route 10th km.- Sattahip, in front of Ratchanawee stadium at the 5th km., Moo 2 Tambon Sattahip, Amphur Sattahip, Chonburi province the rescuers brought the rescue car with a team of officers to inspect at scene.

At the incident the officers found a black Honda PCX, license number JOR KHOR YOR-559 Chonburi which was overturned with a bent front wheel. Approximately 20 meters away was the driver named Mr. Eteinne Mayenzent, aged 54, Swiss nationality, he was severely injured and dizzy, he had a severe wound to his face which was bleeding a lot and other bodily wounds. The rescuers assisted him and performed first aid then rushed him for further treatment at the emergency room of Queen Sirikit hospital.

Upon questioning the bystanders they said that they saw the foreign man driving his motorbike from the market at the 10th km. headed to Sattahip but then all of a sudden he dozed off and collided with the street post. He is now recovering in hospital.
