A young female who is a university student opened an illegal beauty clinic and claimed to be a specialized doctor in beauty. She used a fake diploma and license to run a professional practice in order to earn money for her studying. She confessed that she had done it 10 times before.

BANGKOK – November 13,2013 [PDN]; At the Department of Special Investigation (DSI), at 4.30 p.m. Mr. Chaikasem Nitisiri (Attorney-General) together with Dr. Pradit Sinthanarong (Minister of Public Health), Dr. Boonreuang Trireuangworawat (Director-General, Department of Health Support Service), Dr. Samphan Khomrit (Secretary of The Medical Council of Thailand) and Mr. Tharit Phengdit (Director-General of DSI) made a statement about an arrest of an illegal clinic owner. “Pulchala Clinic” address 18/97 Terrace village, Soi Ramindhra 65, Ramindhra road, Anusaowaree sub-district, Bangkhen district, Bangkok found Ms. Natchanan Pithakchaikorn or Nan, aged 22, had rented a place and opened an illegal beauty clinic.

Mr. Tharit said that from investigating Ms. Natchanan (the defendant) found that she posted an advertisement on a website and claimed that she was a specialized doctor in beauty. It was found that she wasn’t a real doctor and she also used the fake diploma and license for professional practice in order to accredit herself. Ms. Natchanan is a university student at sophomore a well known private university.

The journalist reported that while the police team and the related officers were making a statement, they could not get Ms. Natchanan to make a statement due to the shock, so the police had to arrange for the officers to take care of her closely. However, from initial investigation, the officers knew that she had family problems and needed to earn money by herself to study, she also learned from many websites how to inject various kinds of chemical solutions because she could make approximately 10,000 THB each time and she had done it 10 times before she was arrested, but this is very dangerous because she couldn’t check peoples medical backgrounds as she wasn’t a medical professional. She was taken to the police station for further questioning.
