A teenage boy threatened a 12-year old girl with a knife and raped her after the Wangjan buffalo races. Although she begged for mercy, because of her menstruation, the today, young criminal did not listen, so police rounded up all young criminal suspects in the Wangjan region for questioning.

RAYONG – November 4, 2013 [PDN]:- Police Captain Thanet Piamsorasak, the detective officer with Wangjan Police Station, in Rayong City (south of Pattaya in Thailand), received a disturbing rape complaint). It was reported that there was the rape of a young girl at Bangbueng-Klaeng Road, at 66th km inbound Klaeng on Payubnai Road. So he sped to the crime scene with Police Captain Songkran Polyiam, (the Vice Detective Inspector), and some other detective officers, plus some other rescuers and found Miss “Toon” (alias), who is a Grade-8 student at a school in Rayong. On her body found some bruises, crying in shock and not for from her, they found a motorcycle that had fallen on the ground.

By asking “Toon”, she said that before it happened she had asked her parents for permission to ride their motorcycle to see the buffalo racing in the market at Wangjan, together with her little sister, “Nat” (alias), who is a 12-year old student, from the same school. After the races they were riding home with the elder sister driving, but when they reach the crime scene, there was an angular faced, long haired teenager, riding a red ‘Honda Wave’ with no license plates, who rode close to them. He told them to stop the motorcycle, but they did not, so the man kicked it and it crashed on the ground. The man pointed a knife at the youngest sister “Nat” forcing her to sit in front of him on his motorcycle and was still pointing the knife at her as they rode away. She did not know where they headed and “Toon” called her mum to come quickly to help find her sister.

The police searched and found Nat walking at Shum sang junction, looked distressed and dirty, so the police asked her and she said that the young criminal took her to the top of the dyke at Prasare Reservoir. He was still pointing the knife at her and raped her, even though she asked him to show some mercy. She begged for compassion and told him she had menstruation, but he did not stop, so she ran to hide in the woods, but he followed her up and raped her. Then this violent young criminal left her near the dyke, so after the terrible ordeal she walked out to find help.

Police Colonel Dutsadee Kunshorn Na-Ayudhya, the Director of Wangjan Police Station, said that this was a terrifying case for all the local residents, so he commanded the detectives to search for clues that might bring the man for punishment So accordingly, police brought in all the teenage ‘junkies’ with criminal records and checked to see if anyone in the ‘line-up’ was likely to be the criminal. Also the two girls were sent to be medically checked at the Wangjan Hospital and it was found that “Nat” definitely had been raped. These vicious sexual crimes against young girls are becoming far too common and the criminals who commit them should receive a maximum sentence, as this is a very traumatic experience for the young victims.
