Southern Man Arrested for Stabbing Omani Tourist

The tourist police arrested a southern man for severely stabbing an Omani Tourist, he confessed to the crime which happened on Walking Street.

PATTAYA- October 31, 2013 [PDN]; At 11:30am Pol. Col. Supphaphol Aroonist (Deputy Commander), Pol. Lt. Col. Wasu Saengsuksai (Deputy Commander), Pol. Lt. Col. Aroon Phromphan (Inspector) together with the forces of detective police team brought the arrest warrant No. 602/2556 dated September 14, 2013 to arrest a Mr. Thewarit aged 24, address 265/1 Moo 4 Tambon Falamee, Amphur Pakpayoon, Pattaloong province. Who is accused of stabbing Mr. Muhammed Zekmuhammed Zajaleel Al Hanfaree with a knife then fled to his hometown.

Pol. Col. Supphaphol Aroonsit revealed that at 11.00 p.m. on September 11, 2013 Mr. Thewarit whose occupation was to persuade customers to see shows in Walking Street, South Pattaya was involved in the incident that happened in front of Hoothies Show Girls bar. The Police showed a witness a photograph of Mr. Thewarit and confirmed that Mr. Thewarit was the trouble maker. Therefore, the police asked the Pattaya provincial court to issue the arrest warrant and followed up to arrest him at his hometown in Amphur Pakpayoon, Pattaloong province.

From investigating Mr. Thewarit confessed that on the incident day while he was taking customers to see a show in Walking Street the Omani tourist had just came out from seeing the show he told the other tourist the show was no good which made Mr. Thewarit angry. They had an argument and a scuffle but later he realised that he could not fight the Omani tourist so he took out a knife and stabbed him twice, he then fled to his hometown until he was finally arrested.

Initially, the police charged him with the allegations of abusing and severely injuring the Omani Tourist and also for possessing a weapon in a public place. He was taken to Pattaya police station to be processed further according to Thai law.
