Thai Man Arrested For Smuggling Drugs Into Israel

A Thai worker who was working in Israel was arrested by police after he was caught dealing and smuggling drugs.

BANGKOK – October 29, 2013 [PDN]; Thai Police were able to arrest 31 year-old Mr. Suchart Duangmao. He was arrested at Suvannabhumi Airport after police found drugs hidden shampoo bottles. A total of 16,320 drug pills were seized in the arrest. The suspect confessed that he was hired for about 500,000 THB to complete the job.

Police told reporters that Israeli police have told Thai Police that a Thai man was going to attempt to smuggle a large amount of drugs to Israel.

Police were informed on October 27 (the day of the arrest) that drugs were found hidden in bottles after airport officers x-rayed the suspect’s suitcase.

A second suspect named 33 year-old Mr. Chatchai who was also arrested for drug smuggling charges was arrested at mall in Bangkok on September 1. It was known that police were able to find about 10,000 drug pills with the suspect.

Police are working hard to find the roots of the drugs and the people who hired the arrested men.
